Juneteenth Jubilee Festival & Parade

06/15/24 10:00 AM - 06/16/24 03:00 PM

Juneteenth commemorates the abolition of slavery in the Confederate states, marking the emancipation of enslaved African Americans – Blacks across the United States. It is a testament to the enduring struggles and victories that have defined our nation. This day is a moment to honor the resilience and fortitude of those who battled for freedom and to recognize the continued pursuit of equality and justice. This year’s theme is Freedom cannot be taken for granted but Nurtured, Preserved, and Protected. Together, we can create a world where everyone is treated with dignity and fairness.

The Juneteenth Jubilee Festival & Parade is being produced by the Black Heritage Society
www.blackheritagesociety.net.  This is the same organization that produced the 46th MLK Original Festival & Parade in February. The Juneteenth Jubilee Festival takes place Sat. June 15, 2024 from 10 AM until 3 PM at the Fifth Ward Multi-Purpose Center, 4014 Market St, Houston, TX 77020 (see map below).

This celebration will provide education, cultural appreciation, music, food trucks/vendors, and chances to connect. For more information contact 832-413-2217 or email don@ewmediagroup.com.
